In order to allow the first batch of international students from our university to experience the technological charm of "Made in China" firsthand and gain a deeper understanding of the widespread application of Chinese drone technology in various fields such as daily life, emergency rescue, and agricultural crop protection, on November 23, 2025, the International College led more than 20 international students from 13 countries, including Dean Hui Yanyan, counselor Hao Zixiu, and teaching secretary Chen Jiaxin, to the DJI Product Experience Center in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, to carry out an immersive DJI technology research and learning activity.

At the RoboMaster exhibition hall, international students systematically learned about the development history of DJI's drone technology, its disruptive product matrix and its wide application scenarios, as well as popular science education projects for young people through various methods such as professional lectures, close contact with physical drones, and watching demonstration videos. This multimodal display format allows international students to deeply appreciate the practical connotation of Chinese craftsmanship spirit, experience the "Chinese solution" of technological innovation driving social development, and further deepen their understanding of DJI's technological strength and the prospects of artificial intelligence applications. For most people, this is the first time they have systematically realized that drones are no longer just "flying cameras", but an innovative platform that integrates intelligent technology and industrial ecology.

In the immersive experience segment, international students had close contact with a series of products ranging from professional film and television grade "Wu" series to affordable sports cameras, mobile phone gimbals, etc., and personally experienced how high-end imaging technology has moved from professional fields to daily life. Among them, the most impressive was DJI's latest release of the "Minimum Omnidirectional Obstacle Avoidance Drone New 2". The fully automatic tracking and shooting function of this model attracted many international students to actively try it out. Everyone experienced innovative interactive methods such as intelligent drone tracking and palm takeoff and landing, and the on-site interactive atmosphere was lively.

In the robot competition segment, international students immersed themselves in the Mech Master Challenge through FPV's first person perspective, experiencing firsthand the fun of technology competition with omnidirectional movement, precise shooting, and team collaboration.

In the subsequent outdoor drone flight experience, international students personally experienced the flight under the guidance of DJI professionals. From smooth takeoff, hovering in the air to precise landing, they gradually mastered basic control skills and attempted to capture unique landscapes from aerial perspectives.

This DJI innovation research activity not only provides a window for international students to intuitively experience "Chinese intelligent manufacturing", but also becomes a deep experience that integrates technological practice and cross-cultural exchange. Through on-site observation and hands-on operation, international students have developed a concrete and profound understanding of drone technology and the social changes it drives. In the future, the International College will continue to rely on the technological innovation advantages of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, promote practical activities that integrate technology and culture, and help Chinese and foreign students step out of the classroom and approach the forefront, truly realizing the deep integration of international talent cultivation and technology industry practice.
