To foster a deep sense of friendship and appreciation for China among international students, and to enhance their sense of belonging to China, on the evening of June 14th, the 2026 graduation gala of Guangzhou Huashang College welcomed a group of special and dazzling protagonists - over 20 international students from 13 countries, dressed in colorful ethnic costumes, and passionately performing the school anthem "Together for Glory" in fluent Chinese. This was the first time that our school's first batch of international students made their collective debut on the school's major cultural and artistic stage. They conveyed their deep affection for their alma mater through their songs, showcased the fusion of diverse cultures through their postures, and became the warmest and most heartwarming sight of the evening.

Focusing on the regular education of school history and conditions, we aim to facilitate the transformation of international students in China from "getting to know Huashang" to "integrating into Huashang". Through diverse approaches such as classroom instruction, cultural immersion, and field visits, the International College guides international students to embrace the school motto spirit of "morality and ambition, extensive learning and innovation", and to appreciate the Huashang culture and the unique educational characteristics of the school. The performance of the school anthem at this graduation ceremony is a showcase of the long-term accumulation and phased achievements of this educational model.

Elaborate polishing and repeated rehearsals reflect the persistent commitment to cultural integration behind the stage. The International College deeply integrates the singing of the school anthem with the education of school conditions and history. Faced with the practical difficulties of uneven Chinese proficiency among international students and prominent issues with choral rhythm and pronunciation, the teaching team tailors a training program: singing sentence by sentence for calibration, dividing vocal parts to refine harmony, recording audio to extend classroom training, and taking multiple measures to improve singing skills. The international students practiced repeatedly, and ultimately, they sang this school anthem, which embodies the spirit of Chinese businessmen and the essence of Lingnan culture, from the page into their hearts, and from the audience to the stage

The national costumes reflected the melody of the school song, and the heartfelt confessions ignited the climax of the evening party. On the night of the performance, Dean Hui Yanyan of the International College, along with the teaching team, was present throughout the entire process, carefully polishing the positioning and stage details. When the lights went on, the international students, dressed in their traditional costumes, took the stage one by one. The colorful saris, robes, tube skirts, vests, etc. intertwined with the melody of the school song, presenting a vivid picture of "each beautiful in its own way, and sharing beauty with others". At the end of the program, many international students in China shouted "I love China", and their sincere confessions ignited the entire audience, pushing the atmosphere of the evening party to its climax.

This grand finale performance is not only a concentrated review of the Chinese proficiency and stage literacy of international students, but also a vivid reflection of our school's achievements in international education. Through immersive learning of the school anthem and stage practice, international students' language proficiency, cultural identity, and sense of belonging to the campus have been effectively improved. In the future, the International College will continue to build a platform for youth exchange between China and foreign countries, injecting lasting momentum into the high-quality development of the school's international education and talent cultivation.
